BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
MJP had carried out several
field surveys since year 2006. Finally, the industrial
forest project is decided to be located at Belitung Island,
Province of Bangka-Belitung. Total forest concession area is
estimated to be 16,142 ha.
PT. MJP has started charcoal
production trial since July 2006 by using several
local wood species.
Furthermore, PT.
MJP has also visited Brazil to learn the energy plantation
and production methodology. Brazil is considered as one of
the leading country in this area since both sector support
the production of its pig iron industry.
Upon the issuance
of The Regency Head letter dated June 12, 2007 No: 522/611/DPK/2007,
PT. MJP application for the Industrial Plantation Forest (Hutan
Tanaman Industri) license is principally fully supported by
the local government.
